    A total of 556 new hotels are in the project pipeline in the Middle East, reported MEED, citing statistics from US-based hotel analyst Lodging Econometrics. The bulk of this new capacity is destined for Dubai, with 155 projects and nearly 57,390 rooms either planned or under construction.
