THE TRAGIC incident that cost Steve Irwin his life truly was a freak accident, an experienced local diver has assured. Terry Fontes, of Oceania Dive, said the worst injury he had ever seen caused by a sting ray was when a person was walking on the beach and got zapped on the side of their foot.
